We Are Thornton Heath is a ‘digital hub’ designed specifically for our Thornton Heath community, helping residents stay connected, businesses thrive, and local organisations engage more effectively. It’s a free, community-owned tool designed to strengthen Thornton Heath, making it easier to stay in the loop with what’s happening, support our local businesses and groups, and play a role in shaping a better-connected, even more vibrant community.
How We Are Thornton Heath works…
WATH for Thornton Heath Residents:
Thornton Heath residents can download the free We Are Thornton Heath app on their Apple or Android smartphones. Once signed up, users can:
- Browse local events, offers, and community initiatives.
- Receive personalised in-app notifications and emails based on their interests (e.g. dining out, fitness, live music, family activities).
- Explore interactive community tours, including the Thornton Heath Art Trail.
- Stay updated with local news, transport info, and public services.
- Browse the business directory.
- Find practical information like how to report fly-tipping, contact local councillors, or access community support.

We Are Thornton Heath isn’t just for residents—it’s also a powerful tool for local businesses, groups, and organisations. Businesses receive an invite to register for access to their business dashboard, which allows them to:
- Create a business profile to list in the We Are Thornton Heath business directory.
- Access short, easy-to-follow video tutorials to learn how to use the platform.
- Add ‘Employees’ to share access with members of their team.
- List events and promotions.
- Send targeted in-app and email notifications to hundreds of residents* who are interested in what they offer. (* 575 residents are registered to receive email notifications. 1466 have downloaded the app. Stats from 1st March 2025)
- Create GeoAlerts to send in-app notifications to residents when they pass by a chosen location.
- View useful analytics.
- Communicate directly with other We Are Thornton Heath business members in the forum.
