Brief background:
In Bloom has been running with great success for 6 years now. Typically there are 5-7 categories, with a diverse bunch of volunteer judges looking for the best and most varied in each. The judging takes place in July with an awards ceremony held around a week afterwards. Refreshments are provided.
Previous categories include:
- Front gardens
- Street planters
- Concrete front spaces
- Children's plants/vegetables
- Groups organisations/businesses
- Best dustbin planters
- Nature gardens
How you can help:
As perhaps you can imagine, a vast amount of time and effort goes into the organising and execution of these events, which are wholly run by volunteers. If you can offer any help with planning, general promotion, flyer distribution, photography, judging, catering, or have a prize you would like to donate, or a venue suitable for the awards ceremony, or would like to sponsor the event, please get in touch.
The more helping hands we have, the greater a chance we have of not only being able to go ahead with In Bloom 2022, but of making it even more glorious and fun than previous ones.
