Support the refugees at Brigstock House

A large number of our members are very keen to support the refugees at Brigstock House with donations of toys, books etc  We have made contact with the charity involved (thanks to Lesley) and asked for further details, so please see below. Thanks.

THCAT

As I mentioned in our meeting, any baby blankets, new baby bottles, toys, children books, games would be welcome for children. Warm gloves, hats and toiletries for adults will be appreciated. One of the main issues we face at present is the lack of space, and for this reason, we’d welcome any gifts that you kindly wish to donate already labelled and packed so we could hand them to people as soon as we see them in advice sessions.

For your and your colleagues information, we support asylum seekers new to the UK and also people who have sought asylum after spending some time in the UK and the situation in their home country changed. We are based in Thornton Heath and East Dulwich and deliver the service from the location where asylum seekers are based. The people we support spend between 4-8 weeks in this accommodation after which they are sent to more permanent accommodation in the UK.

Could any donations be made on Saturday 12th December, between 11am-1pm at Brigstock House, Thornton Heath

Best regards,
